PRESS RELEASE: Joint release by #Cullin and #Hunt
The government has issued a urgent press release calling for the capture and destruction of any sighted #ShaDogFish. “A #ShaDogFish is a hybrid between Shark & Dog. It looks like a Dog but has Fins and Teeth capable of tearing apart and devouring Humans” – he has claimed to be reported.

“The #ShaDogFish has come about by environmentalist’s breeding Dogs and Sharks and this is simply an radical and irresponsible action to preserve the Sharks” – he continued to say.

“Any people found to be harbouring such creatures, seen for the first time @ the #NoWASharkCull #NoSharkCull protests at various beaches around Western Australia, will face stiff penalties and jail terms under tough new Government Policy” – he continued.

“These #ShaDogFish can be easily identified by the Pectoral fin on their back and anyone knowing their locations are required to report sightings to Fisheries and Local Rangers without delay. Up until now the Government had no proof of their existence but now with visible and sound scientific research to back their claims the Government is on a campaign to eradicate these #ShaDogFish in public interest” – the official was heard to say.

“As part of Government policy additional drum bait lines have been deployed, around popular swimming, surfing and diving car parks, in a urgent effort to capture and eradicate these creatures”, and when asked about other domestic animals becoming victims he replied “#ShaDogFish are a menace to humans use of beach amenities and any collateral damage is acceptable, based on the Governments sound Scientific Studies and environmental policies”

“Local Government rangers and fisheries officials ignoring the government policy will be sacked immediately, we need to protect even the people that do not like the Oceans and don’t use the oceans, no matter what a small minority they form” he was supposedly heard to be say.

“We are also releasing stickers and running multimillion dollar ad campaigns to make people aware of the existence of these #ShaDogFish and to facilitate their destruction. It is money well spent” the official was quoted as saying.

“This is yet another fine example of a Quick Thinking and responsible government acting on Sound Scientific Research” The Official Concluded.

With out prompting he continued “We are proud to have drawn an exact parallel to the Culling of the Great Whites and other endangered species of sharks to that of the Culling of the ShaDogFish – both present an equal and eminent danger to the Western Australian public, simple logic based on extensive research and sound scientific findings
